Temple Construction Update - Nov 01 2024
Since the last update, some milestones were achieved, and new tasks have been initiated:
- Sewer and stormwater work is in progress.
- Framing for Rajagopuram and Vimanam is complete and installation of Rajagopuram framing is in progress.
- Perimeter insulation in the basement is complete with stud wall framing in progress.
- Interior plumbing work is in progress, specifically the roof drains.
Temple Construction Update - Oct 18 2024
With the cold season approaching many milestones are to be met to ensure the project is on schedule. To keep the project on schedule many tasks are progressing in parallel and may milestones were met and new tasks have been initiated:
- Framing ramps for basement, stairs for both basement and first floor were made for concrete pouring this week.
- Plumbing work is in progress by installing the rood drains.
- Internal finishes in the basement have been commissioned.
- In the coming weeks, we expect to see the steel framing for the Rajagopuram, Vimanams will be in place. Fire suppression tank will be installed, and ground will be prepared for receiving the near-finished granite material for a Gurba Gudi.
Temple Construction Update - Sept 27 2024
Since the last update, some milestones were achieved, and new tasks have been initiated:
- Earthwork around the temple is in progress. Sewer and stormwater work is in progress.
- Steelwork for the temple has been completed with decks.
- Access work to the first floor has been made via a ramp and corridor and is complete.
- Access to the kitchen area has been made via ramps and is complete.
Temple Construction Update - Sept 13 2024
Since the last update, some milestones were achieved, and new tasks have been initiated:
- Earthwork around the temple is in progress. Sewer and stormwater work is in progress.
- Steelwork for the temple has been completed other than the Rajagopuram and Vimana frames.
- Access work to the first floor has been made via a ramp and corridor and is complete.
- Access to the kitchen area has been made via ramps and is complete.
Temple Construction Update - Aug 30 2024
Since the last update, the weather cooperating, and brisk progress has been made:
- Earth work around the temple has been initiated. Grading of the land around the temple is in progress.
- Temple carving work is in progress. Two containers with granites carvings are their way to US from India.
- Steel work for the west of the temple is done and the work for the east side of the temple is in progress.
- Access work to the first floor is in progress. The ramp on the south side is complete and work is in progress for the north side access and stairs.
- 30,000-gallon fire suppression tank has been delivered and will be installed in 3 weeks’ time.
Temple Construction Update - Aug 16 2024
Since the last update, the weather cooperating, and brisk progress has been made:
- Earth work around the temple has been initiated. Grading of the land around the temple is in progress and framing of next phase of concrete work has been initiated.
- Temple carving work is in progress. The first consignment is ready for shipping and is getting ready for customs clearance.
Temple Construction Update - Aug 02 2024
Since the last update, the weather cooperating, and brisk progress has been made:
- Earthwork around the temple has been initiated. Grading of the land around the temple is expected to be finished in 2 weeks.
- Temple carving work is in progress. The first consignment is ready for shipping and is getting ready for customs clearance.
Temple Construction Update - June 19 2024
Since the last update, the weather has been cooperating, brisk progress has been made:
- In the presence of His Holiness, a major milestone has been achieved with the pouring of concrete for the first floor. This milestone will pave the way for multiple activities in parallel.
- Temple carving work is in progress. The first consignment is ready for shipping and is getting ready for customs clearance.
- Project progress was reviewed with the Engineers by His Holiness Sri Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji and our Construction Management team apprised him about the status of the project and approvals required.
Temple Construction Update - June 17 2024
Since the last update, the weather has been cooperating, and brisk progress has been made:
- Steelwork is in progress. All the beams and columns have been installed and concrete pouring for the first floor is expected this month end.
- Temple carving work is in progress. The first consignment is expected to arrive by the middle of next month.
- Paperwork required for Sculptors is in progress and is expected to arrive by July end. 3 of the 7 applications filed have been approved and we expect to get approval from others.
Temple Construction Update - July 05 2024
Since the last update, the weather cooperating, and brisk progress has been made:
- Steelwork for the basement and decks for the first floor have been installed. All columns have been installed.
- Temple carving work is in progress. The first consignment is expected to arrive by the middle of next month.
- All the applications for stahpathis have been approved and we are expecting the stahpathis to be on site in August.
- Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji visited the site and visually inspected the progress and our Construction Management team apprised him of the project’s status.

- Basement concrete wall work has been completed along with the terrace and the steps.
- Basement slab work has been completed.
- Waterproofing work is in progress.
- Steel work is in progress.
Temple Construction Update - May 11 2024
- Basement concrete wall work has been completed along with the terrace and the steps
- Basement slab preparation work is in progress with possible slab concrete pouring next week.
- Steel is expected to arrive next week and with the installation of columns and beams before the next
Temple Construction Update - Apr 27 2024
- Basement concrete wall work has been completed.
- Underground plumbing work has been completed, including inspection.
- Granite work for garbhagudi is in progress
Temple Construction Update - Apr 12 2024
Since the last update, weather played its role in going slow. 5th section of the concrete wall has been completed and 6th section of framing for next concrete pouring is underway. Plumbing work for underground work in preparation of base slab is in progress. Garbhaguid work for two of the 4 temples is in progress and the first containers with material is expected by July end.
Temple Construction Update - Mar 22 2024
Since the last update, and good weather supporting the work, concrete pouring for the basement walls is moving at a brisk pace. Four sections of the wall have been installed and the 5th section framing is in progress. While the site work is going on one hand, stonework for Garbhagudi is being worked out in India. The first consignment of the stonework is expected to come in June and the sculpture work is currently in progress, specifically the carvings and the design on the stones.
Temple Construction Update - Mar 08 2024
Since the last update, a major milestone has been achieved. The site has been prepared for concrete pouring for the basement walls and the first pouring for the basement concrete walls has been initiated and the next phase is currently in progress. While the site work is going on one hand, stonework for Garbhagudi is being worked out in India. The first consignment of the stonework is expected to come in June and the sculpture work is currently in progress.
Temple Construction Update - Feb 23 2024
Significant progress has been made since the first snowstorm for the season. Site excavation work has been completed and concrete work for footings and basement wall is in progress. Framing work for the concrete wall is in progress and we should see the basement walls coming up in the next two weeks.
Dirt will be excavated for the construction of the temple building. The current snowstorm has put a break into the progress, and it is expected to be completed in the next 2 weeks’ time. We are eagerly anticipating the weather to cooperate and initiate the concrete pad work.

In the New Year, significant progress has been made with site excavation. It is estimated that about 3000 cubic yards of dirt will be excavated for the construction of the temple building. We are eagerly anticipating for the weather to cooperate and initiate the concrete pad work.
Temple Construction Update - Jan 19 2024
In the New Year, construction activity restarted after the holiday season and excavation activity is in progress. It is estimated that about 3000 cubic yards of dirt will be excavated for the construction of the temple building. The current snowstorm has put a break into the progress, and it is expected to be completed in the next 2 weeks’ time. We are eagerly anticipating for the weather to cooperate and initiate the concrete pad work.
Temple Construction Update - Nov 17 2023
Since our last update, construction activity has been going on at full pace. After getting approvals from the County for Forest Conservation efforts, forest planting efforts were completed and approved by the County. With this, we have reached a milestone in meeting County requirements and our commitment to meet the standards.
Since meeting the initial inspection requirements, over the past week storm water management plans have been put in place and inspection has been completed. This milestone has enabled us to move towards clearing the dirt and preparing the ground for excavation.
Another milestone achieved is in identifying 3rd party material testing contractor and are in an advanced stage of closing the contract.
Temple Construction Update - Nov 10 2023
Since our last update, construction activity has been going on at full pace. We have cleared the mandatory Forest Conservation inspection and are now working to provide the required forest coverage to meet the County and State regulations. Crews are working to plant a new forest area measuring about 2,500 sq. ft.
Another milestone achieved is to get the initial sedimentation inspection done and this enabled us to implement sedimentation control measures as part of Storm Water Management plans. Three ponds have been dug and are ready for inspection by the County.
Another milestone achieved is in identifying 3rd party material testing contractor and are in an advanced stage of closing the contract.
